Who are you?

William L. Myers, Jr. but I go by Bill.

Where do you live?

I live west of Philadelphia, on the Main Line.

What’s your home life like?

My wife and I spend much of our time in the service (slavery) of our two Pitt Bull mixes and the two cats who have, so far, successfully eluded them.

What genre(s) to you like to write? To read?

My tastes are eclectic. I enjoy everything from historical fiction, legal thrillers and crime fiction business and leadership books.

Why did you start writing?

Why did you start eating? I never felt I had a choice. Writing has always been a part of who I am.

What do you do when you’re not writing?

Sleeping or practicing law.

Where do you like to go when looking for a new book to read?

I search Amazon, and go to book stores.

At what point do you call it quits when reading a new book?

If I’m reading a book and find myself thinking, “If the protagonist were hit by a bus or suddenly came down with flesh-eating bacteria, I couldn’t care less,” that’s when I figure it’s time to call it a day.

Are you independently or traditionally published?

In between: I’m published with Amazon’s Thomas & Mercer imprint which, by the way, is fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for a better team of editors, marketers and publishers. Their enthusiasm for what they do is infectious.

How many books/stories have you published so far?

Two: “A Criminal Defense” and (as of 1-23-18) “An Engineered Injustice.” A third book, “A Killer’s Alibi” is in the works and will be published in 2019.

What book/story are you currently promoting or working on?

“An Engineered Injustice”

What’s the elevator pitch?

“What if the worst train disaster in the nation’s history wasn’t an accident?”

When a passenger train derails in North Philadelphia with fatal results, idealistic criminal defense attorney Vaughn Coburn takes on the most personal case of his young career. The surviving engineer is his cousin Eddy, and when Eddy asks Vaughn to defend him, he can’t help but accept. Vaughn has a debt to repay, for he and his cousin share an old secret—one that changed both their lives forever.

As blame for the wreck zeros in on Eddy, Vaughn realizes there’s more to this case than meets the eye. Seeking the truth behind the crash, he finds himself the target of malicious attorneys, corrupt railroad men, and a mob boss whose son perished in the accident and wants nothing less than cold-blooded revenge. With the help of his ex-con private investigator and an old flame who works for the competition, Vaughn struggles to defeat powerful forces—and to escape his own past built on secrets and lies.

How long have you been working on it?

It’s done; it took five months to write and went through a three-month editing process at Amazon.

When will it be available to buy? Where?

It will be available on 1-23-18, on Amazon, in paperback, e-book (Kindle) and audio.

How can readers follow you?

Anything you’d like to add?

Yes, thanks to Nicholas Adams for giving me the chance at the interview!

I'd like to express my gratitude to Bill for offering a free copy of his novel in exchange for my honest review and for taking the time to participate in this written interview.. I wish him all the best in his legal and writing careers!
