Who are you?

I go by Christopher Lee when it comes to the online world. I am a self-published author, wordsmith, bardic poet, and a keeper of the old ways. Besides writing fantasy fiction which is one of many passions, I also plan to release a few pieces of nonfiction this coming year in 2018.

Where do you live?

I am based in Denver, Colorado

What’s your home life like?

Ah the sacrifices of the #writerslife has my wife and I housing with family, at least for a couple more months.

What genre(s) to you like to write? To read?

As mentioned above I primarily write in the vein of fantasy fiction and spiritual/new age nonfiction.

Why did you start writing?

I started writing at an early age, though I did not begin to take it seriously until fairly recently, within the last five to six years.

What do you do when you’re not writing?

I am big on meditation, cooking, gardening, going on walks, and I dabble in painting, mostly the oil pastel variety. I am also an avid reader and you can often find me with a nose stuck in a book.

Where do you like to go when looking for a new book to read?

Honestly, I go to the local Arc Thrift Store. I like the feeling of finding something cool. At a normal book store, I’d know where to go instantly, but at the Thrift it is almost like a treasure hunt. Plus, I like to give abandoned books a home.

At what point do you call it quits when reading a new book?

You know I have an odd reading quirk where I almost never finish a book from cover to cover at one time. I cycle through reading on whims and it can often take me months to finish a particular book. I often have upwards of ten to fifteen books going at one time.

Are you independently or traditionally published?

Independent, I am big DYI guy, so I like to learn on the fly and grow. Love that freedom.

How many books/stories have you published so far?

One book to date, Nemeton: The Trial of Calas, with four or five more due for release this year.

What book/story are you currently promoting or working on?

My big one is called Westward, it is a weird western, or western fantasy that takes place on the eve of the American Civil War. One alpha reader has called it X-Files in the Old West.

What’s the elevator pitch?

I’d stick with X-Files in the Old West.

How long have you been working on it?

This one actually just came to me not even two months ago and has come together like lightning.

When will it be available to buy? Where?

Honestly, it’s an insane time table, but perhaps as early as May 1st, but no later than May 30th. It will most likely be on Amazon.com, for more info please visit www.christopherleeauthor.com and sign up for my newsletter.

How can readers find you?

Anything you’d like to add?

One thing I like to talk about in every interview is how important it is to support each other. That is why I am always offering a free interview on my blog for fellow authors, published or unpublished. It is important that we all rise together, not simply for our own success, but also for the art itself. If you are an indie author reading this please feel free to contact me on any of the above platforms to arrange a time to be featured on my site.

I'd like to express my gratitude to Christopher Lee for reaching out to me on Social Media and offering me a chance to review his book "Nemeton" and letting me get to know him as a fellow author. I wish him the best of luck in all his endeavors.
