Ceony Twill has come along way since her days at Tagis Praff School for the Magically Inclined.

After saving his life, and restoring his heart, Ceony Twill has come to enjoy the perks of being the apprentice of the Master Folder, Emery Thane.

Then trouble comes her way from those seeking to restore Lira from her frozen prison by destroying a paper factory.

Teaming up with an apprentice Gaffer (glass magician), Ceony again seeks out the villains in hopes of keeping them away from those she loves. And along the way, she discovers a secret only those willing to break the rules are privy.

What I liked:

Once again, Charlie N. Holmberg takes the reader on a wondrous adventure into the alternate world of 19th-century magic. Familiar characters become deeper, and new characters captivate the imagination. My kids and I enjoyed exploring Ceony's world once again.
